Tales of our tiny family.

Going Swimming

Last weekend was Mary's first trip to the pool. She mostly just layed out in her carseat by the side. But she was sporting a cute little number for the ocassion(thank you dollar tree for the swimsuit). We went to my mom's bishops house and it was awesome. I wish I would have taken photos. They own a cement laying business and they had made a huge waterslide down to the pool. It was made to look like the red rocks down in St. George. They also made jumping platforms too. Most of the kids were afraid, but most of them tried the small slide at least once.

I love my baby and my photography studio

Here are some photos of Mary that I took today. I love her funny faces. If you know anybody who needs photos send them my way! Thanks!

Crazy Photo Booth!

I absolutely LOVED doing this! I have always loved taking photos in the studio where I could control the lighting. I remember in college taking photos of my roommates in the studio for a party we were having. We had a blast and this is somewhat the same idea. I took my home studio on the road to my husband's boss's house for a party they were having for their son's graduation. I was a little worried that it might be out of place or too distracting from the other going ons at the party. But it worked out perfectly and was great entertianment. My loving husband Jon set it up so that our TV would show the photos as I took them. Everybody loved it so much that I decided to see if anybody else would be interested in doing one. So if you are let me know. It's like a photo booth on the go. Where else are you going to have grandma make funny faces at the camera? Classic! I love the photos of the eldery in the slide show the best! Tehawnna your grandparents rock!

and more photos

You only bless your first baby once, so you better take some photos!

happy family!

Today was such a special day for our family. We were able to bless Mary in church. Jon did a wonderful job and we were both able to bear our testimonies. With both of our families there we more than doubled our ward! And we didn't even have all of our siblings present. Then my wonderful sister Julie let us have a bbq at her house. Her house made a wonderful backdrop for all of the photos of Mary's special day. I was such a proud mother. She slept really well last night. 10-4 and then 5-9. So even though I was nervous and couldn't sleep she did. She did really well during church. She was one of the quitest babies in the room. She was awake and happy until the blessing and then she fell asleep during the rest of the meeting. I was so worried that she would scream during the prayer and then I would later have to take her out to the hall. But she was perfect (I can say that because I'm a mom and I'm allowed to brag about my baby). And then later at the party she was pleasent while being passed around from one person to the next. I did however make her a little upset when I let my photo taking trump her meal time. I just knew that once I changed her out of her beautiful dress (thank you mom I loved the one you picked out!) that it would be hard to find time to get her dressed and take them later. At the begining of the day I was a crying, scaterbrian, nervous wreck but everything turned out beautifully and I was so happy with my baby. We love you Mary!
